Asparagus Lettuce New Yu Mai (Lactuca Sativa) 500mg Seeds for Planting, Yu Mai Tsai, Celtuce "Purpurat", Big Stem Lettuce Celery, Sword Lettuce, Orient Sword Leaf, Non-GMO, Heirloom, Open Pollinated

A narrow-leaved asparagus variety. Forms a succulent thickened stem, 30-40” high and large, elongated leaves. The collection of leaves is carried out gradually, starting to tear off the lower leaves after 60 to 80 days from germination, leaving a little on the top. This promotes the growth and thickening of the stem. The stems are consumed raw, fried or boiled, the leaves are used only fresh, slightly withered. Grown in open ground and spring film greenhouses, seedlings or sowing in the ground.

Instructions on how to grow these seeds :

✔To grow a batch of salad mix fill the tray with your selected soil mix 2-3” (3 - 4 cm) deep and moisten the mix. Sprinkle the seeds evenly on top of the mix, try to leave a few centimeters of space around each seed. Gently pat the seeds down; then cover with 0.2” (0.5 cm) of mix.
✔Then cover the tray with a lid or another inverted tray to help keep the seeds moist until they sprout. Water often using a sprayer. Place your seed trays in a shadehouse or on a deck or sunny verandah.
✔Harvest by cutting leaves as they reach 2-4” (5 - 10 cm) in length; use scissors to snip them off just above the growing crowns (about 1” (2.5 cm) above the soil level) if you would like to be able to pick several times.
